By sports photography we mean taking pictures of sporting events that involve action and movement. If the pictures are not sharp and do not depict fast movement that take place in a sequence, the purpose of a good sports photograph will not be achieved. That exciting movement of action must be caught by the camera and this movement is caught by a fast shutter speed which freezes the motion.
