Government is an important aspect of society. Several things are made possible by the government. However, the government may be divided into sections. State, Federal, and City governments provide an exemplification of this. Each of the previously mentioned bodies operate independently. However, they must coincide through interactions. The government of Durham, North Carolina may illustrate this. Durham's local government may be explicitly identified.
The history of Durham is extremely detailed. Durham was created established in 1823. The name was attained in 1853. It was re-established in 1869. Durham County was erected in 1881. Durham was nicknamed the City of Medicine due to the presence of the healthcare industry. It earns the city over 1.2 billion dollars each year (Durham, 2007).
