We live with technology every day through smartphones or computers. But how does modern technology affect today's society? We will see that modern technology can have good aspects, but that we should be suspicious concerning it. I. Voice assistants (effective + relationships + safer) First of all, modern technology is good for our society because it can have many good aspects of us. [...]

Negative aspect (drawbacks) - Our life is controlled everywhere we go (Chinese cameras) - They enter in our private life (computer cameras) (espionage) - If the world is like in the film Gattaca, there would be inequalities between those who are genetically perfect like Jerome and those who are not like Vincent - I think making perfect babies is bad for the population because everybody will be the same and nobody will be unique. [...] I would like to talk about the movie we saw during this year: Idea of progress - How does modern technology affect today's society? This movie shows what the world would become in the future. It will be a world overwhelmed by modern technology. In the movie, people want to make perfect babies with any deficiency in their genes. Admittedly, people will be perfect in every area and do what they want in life, but everyone will look the same, nobody will be unique anymore. [...]

[...] Voice assistants are then more effective and allow people to be less tired than typing on their screen. Moreover, voice assistants are better concerning human's relationships. In fact, our most natural way of communicating, of socialising is to speak with others. Thanks to voice assistants, we keep this way of communicating, allowing us not to withdraw into oneself and to interact more with the world around us. Finally, voice assistants are safer than smartphones or computers. As a matter of fact, when you drive and that you need to look at the GPS to see where you have to go, you can just listen to the voice, which will tell you the way to follow. [...]

[...] He succeeds and realises his dream only thanks to this man. He succeeded in defying Gattaca's laws and in overcoming the discrimination of which he was the victim. Modern technology can then also be negative, in that it can create people who look the same, losing their personal character and it can also be very discriminating against those who are not perfect like Vincent. To conclude, modern technology has many positive points for humankind, in the way that it helps people in every task, but as far as I am concerned, new technology is bad for the world because we don't know where it can bring us and I think people are far too dependent on technology.
