From the beginning of the world, there have always been multiple ways or theories of punishment. After researches and studies conducted by the experts of the domain, it was revealed that the death sentence takes its roots from the legal and political systems of many countries of the world. Moreover, the death penalty is also influenced by the country's religious traditions. It has been revealed that there are elements or factors that influence the political institutions and practices of a country, apart from the religious traditions. In fact, the country's development and educational level, determine and influence whether the death sentence will be practised or not. If not directly, in one way or another, the factors mentioned here above will affect the death penalty execution.
[...] That is the same for Viet Nam and Belarus. The Amnesty International declared on its 2018 report that in a country like Indonesia, the collected statistics said that 48 people were executed, but the organisation believed that the number was higher than the one given. So, to be specific, the Amnesty International does not caution any of these practices that kill human beings. In fact, to be precise, it says “Amnesty International opposes the death penalty in all cases without exception regardless of the nature or circumstances of the crime; guilt, innocence or other characteristics of the individual; or the method used by the state to carry out the execution. [...] The federation promotes the second chance concept and ideology. The justice of any country should allow criminals to become better people in the society. Another factor to consider before promoting the death sentence is that the whole judiciary and penal system is composed of human beings who can make mistakes. In fact, those states stated that “the death penalty is not a human right issue”. These countries even decided to withdraw from the human right convention. Another way or reason that is making countries go for the abolition of the death sentence is linked to the influence of some regional or continental organisations. The European Union for example decided to put the death sentence abolition as a precondition for any country willing to join it. [...]
[...] There are human rights, where all human beings are equal without any difference, and that is what the Universal Declaration of Human Rights defends, along with all the other institutions. A rich man is not more human than a poor man, so it is not acceptable to practise the death sentence and it should be banned. That is the opinion of the Amnesty International on this matter. Anyways, it is very important to say that over the years, the number of executions has reduced. In fact, in 2017, the Amnesty International recorded 993 death sentences. A year later, the number decreased up to 690 executions. [...]
