The expression "sustainable development" has been used for years now. It is all about the promotion of people's well-being, the improvement of their life quality, especially in the long run. This means that what the current generation is doing has consequences on future generations. Therefore, the main principles of sustainable development defend the idea that there must be an efficient use of resources and certain equity among generations. The interactions between countries for example impact the sustainable development in one way or another.

[...] In fact, it was stated in 2009 by the President that "South Africa would implement mitigation actions that would collectively result in a 34 percent and a 42 percent reduction in its emissions growth trajectory by 2020 and 2025, respectively." In conclusion, we can say that South Africa has improved lots of things in different sectors. In fact, the managed over the years to operates according to the sustainable development ideology. Nevertheless, the country still has a lot to do in order to realize everything that was planned in the JPOI. There must be a constant checking and control in order to know whether or not, the plan's strategies are being executed. [...]
[...] The people's well-being and welfare, along with the equity, motivate the JPOI in its fight. In fact, the social and economic developments are linked and impact the whole ecosystem and natural resources. The framework planned to reduce the transmission of HIV (aids) and improve the access to drinkable water before reaching 2015. Generally, the sustainable development is explained through 3 aspects. First of all, we have what we call the sustainability through technological change. In fact, we speak about the industrial ecology, and the dematerialization of economic development. [...]
[...] In fact, the lands even had fewer economic opportunities. But, even among the only shares with government interest were protected. It is said that "legislation to manage land, air, water, and mineral resources was meant to protect narrow minority and government interests in these economic sectors, and environmental policies and services were formulated within a framework that perpetuated social inequality by benefiting the white minority, and generally disregarded the environment and sustainability" we clearly see from the declaration here above that before 1994 (during the apartheid era) and after 1994, the notion of sustainable development was not a priority. [...] The country is also fighting the fuel's burning, especially in the areas where people live. Plus, the emissions linked to the transport sector are to be reduced. The country keeps on improving the strategies in order to have a better atmosphere for the present and future generations. Concerning the energy sector, it is based on coal in South Africa. A plan was launched in order to reduce the emission of carbon. According to the plan, it was important to work on the South African solar resources, wind resources and hydropower resources. [...]
