The word ‘pictorial photography' is not understood very clearly and needs a little explanation. A simple shot which can be a simple image is a photograph but when it has some evocative feeling or a special mood in it, it is called a ‘pictorial photograph'. What distinguishes the two is the special appeal quality which makes one a pictorial as distinct from the other with drab and boring images.
