Many countries are hesitant to sign the draft agreement of World Trade Organization. There has been wide spread protests whenever the conference of World Trade Organization is held. Protests are carried out to demand tighter environmental standards for MNC's and developed countries but little work is done as far as anti-dumping is concerned. Anti-dumping laws have always been in the eye of the storm, there is no satisfactory solution which is acceptable to all countries in general. The nations who feel threatened by antidumping laws are developing nations of Asia and Africa.

The effect of such dumping must be widespread i.e. it must not only affect production but other factors like productivity, investment, capacity utilization must be affected as well. WTO also bars a country from levying the antidumping duty often. Many countries claim that the method to calculate the dumping price and fair price are often biased in favor of domestic industries. It becomes extremely difficult to assess if the goods are indeed dumped with the intention of harming the domestic industry. [...]
