The Military Extended Child Care Agency (M.E.C.C.A) is an agency that would be used to assist Soldiers and their family members with extended child care services. Most military child care agencies or centers operating hours are from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm. These hours are not acceptable or beneficial to shift workers. Shift workers are not figured into the equation which makes its harder to find safe and affordable child care services.
The goal of M.E.C.C.A. is to serve all military and/or government workers (civilians working on military bases) requirements. Our child care center will have shift workers that can accommodate customers with special needs. In addition, if the child care center does not meet their requirements due to field training exercises or deployments, we can accommodate them by providing in-home care on a permanent or temporary basis
