The Global Development Initiative (GDI) is one of the most influential participants in the complex world of global development, as it strives to catalyze the transformational process for many low- and middle-income countries and development sectors. The projects of the Global Development Initiative covered education, health care, and environmental sustainability, and similar to most real-world development issues, the project areas require enormous political and social effort (Akdere & Egan, 2020). In the last decade, the Global Development Initiative (GDI) has made tremendous progress due to ethical leadership guiding the global development initiative.

This paper builds a case study around GDI to illustrate the wide-ranging nature of the leadership challenges and the strategies required to implement development projects successfully. The objective of the toolkit will be to provide up-to-date, practical, and evidence-based leadership guidelines and global development principles that will eventually see GDI becoming increasingly influential and sustainable.
