The book "It's Even Worse than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided with the New Politics of Extremism" by Norman J. and Thomas E. Mann Ornstein analyses American politics. The books says that today's US congress has come to a congestion state caused by the two political parties in America moving to solidly right wing and left wing sides abandoning the center as well as becoming passionately argumentative.

The authors' argument is unwarranted hence unbelievable and unacceptable (Cost). Ornstein and Mann claim to have hard data that could justify their claims. They come up with an ideological polarization graph that has been derived from political scientists Howard Rosenthal and Keith Poole's analysis, which allegedly does demonstrate that republicans a made a wider move from the middle compared to the democrats. This is a good reason that they may not have any impact in the next two years because their existence is questionable. Americans should not be shocked by the arguments of these authors but should look forward to building the nation. [...]

They are against presentation of valid photo Ids by prospective voters. According to the authors, such matters will see to it that voter turnout is maximized to benefit democrats. [...]
