The gig economy is a result of the shift of the 21st century's economy. It skyrocketed this past twenty years in the global market, because of the success of companies like Uber, Deliveroo, Airbnb who based its activity on the same business model in the service sector (tertiary sector).

The second type of work can be extended in an unlimited way: there are not only those who give orders, but also those who give advice on the kinds of orders to give. These are very intelligent people: engineers, developers, computer scientists, those who create the algorithms that gradually replace the bosses of the past, and constantly evaluate, with their ratings so that the workers do always better, always more. We need that wide freedom because we seek change in our lives. Personally, I could see myself in a job with not stability because I'd rather turn to a job that fulfils me. Unfortunately, the reality is deceitful and the purpose of most of part-time and freelance jobs aren't as inspiring. They are challenging for most of them and tough physically. [...]
[...] Don't diabolize these companies Although I don't diabolize these companies, I stay convince that they can fully improve the conditions of workers. That's for my opinion it's the main disadvantage of the gig economy. Nowadays, we experienced that after the Covid-19 crisis, the economy and our habits tend to follow the freelance jobs thanks to remotely work. So, it's pushed the gig economy to be in the front line of global markets. For example, many of my friends work on the platform Fiver and that permit them to have some flexibility and a freedom in their schedule. [...]
