The problem of internal income inequality within the market system is very complex, urgent, and problematic regarding the ethics of the functioning of such an economy, raising the issue of social justice and equal opportunities in the U.S.A. The necessity of free markets that guarantee economic efficiency, while the lower strata of society and the top elite remain far away from each other, makes us contemplate ethical questions on fairness and equality. This paper is focused on the moral implications of unequal income within free market systems, highlighting that it is ethically essential to develop policies that address imbalances to permit a fairer society. The study mainly explores income inequality's complex manifestations, including its historical foundation, social consequences, and ethical concerns.
