Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007 – shortly before the world was hit by the global financial and economic crisis. The situation turned into an unprecedented challenge for the new Member State.
The aim of this dissertation is to provide us with sufficient information about the current state of the Bulgarian tourism, the problems and the opportunities for the companies after the country joined the EU.
This paper will assess the challenges for the hospitality industry in the context of the European market.
This research will answer three major questions:
1.What is the current state of Bulgarian hospitality industry?
2.What are the main challenges (economical, political, social, etc.)?
3.What will be the future development of the hospitality sector in Bulgaria?
