Electronic commerce has not only taken a considerable place in the lives of consumers but also in those of businesses. In fact, in order to gain the loyalty of a clientele that is increasingly free to choose and, therefore, demanding, the latter have been forced to adapt and also to offer online offers, in order to be able to compete with the hundreds of stores that undeniably appeal to younger consumers...
Among stores specialising in online commerce, eBay is one of the main leaders, alongside Amazon, Cdiscount, Rakuten, Ali Express and Le Bon Coin. However, the operation of the eBay platform remains somewhat different since it is primarily an auction system. A system that is not found among the main competitors in France.
[...] Either way, eBay can improve its security and that of its online buyers and sellers. This criterion has become one of the most important in 2021 for more than 80% of internet users. Even today, many consumers do not want to leave their bank details on the Internet and prefer to use digital wallet systems or accounts like PayPal or Moneybooker to make their purchases.
