Sociology is terminology that was brought by a Philosopher from French by the name Augusta Comte (1798-1857). He is well recalled as father of sociology and he used the term first in his work "positive philosophy. Other proponent of sociology includes Karl Marx (1818-1883) who joined hands together with Friedrich Engels (1820-1895). They wanted to address on the issue of class equality during the industrial revolutions when this was the order of the day (Shepard, 2011). They wanted to solve the issues of inequalities whereby the workers were discriminated by the capitalistic structure of the economy. In nations like Germany the scholars like Max Weber of 1864-1920 were very vibrant in politics and Emile Durkheim of France was vigorous in reforming the education. Other individuals included social worker and sociologist Jane Addams (1860-1935) of United States.
Sociology is discipline that came out in the 19th century to counter the challenges that were brought about by the changes in the society. The modernization of several factors in the society affected the people's cultures, for example the technology advancement (Macionis, 2003). This exposed the societal set up and intended to destroy the people's values, customs and beliefs.

There is high enrollment of women and the poor class in the higher education and other levels of educations in recent years than before. In the year 1960 only females compared males' high school graduates that enrolled to colleges (Shepard, 2011). This has improved whereby in year 2002 more females enrolled in colleges compared to males that are and respectively. More women are also enrolling in masters' degree than men and in the year 2009 more women graduated with PhDs than men. [...]

Lack of financial support to steer themselves in the degrees of their choice and to operates companies of their choice inflicts them to all problems that they face. Prior to capitalistic society women were discriminate in the work occupations and they were subjected to the food production and other home oriented responsibilities. Women could also be subjected to low classes levels of earning since they could be given motherhood salaries. [...]
