Since its composition over 400 years ago, the play has for years been an inspiration for many writers .It is perhaps its popularity and plot richness, characterized by tragedy that has seen it remain the most sought for plays in theaters. The play has been performed for many years by renowned actors with different versions having been adapted by film directors .It often remain, the centre of discussion on its plot, style and teachings to the society and thus remains a subject of criticism from feminists and psychoanalysts.
