The commercialization of sports implies utilizing sports activities, events, and athletes for profit. This dynamic has turned sports from plain recreational activities into these multibillion-dollar industries. However, with this commercialization comes a complex dilemma: the balance between profit and a pleasing variety of music genres and artists. Sports as a product and market element is a driving force for innovations and progress. Nevertheless, the brand's authenticity and integrity preservation dilemma remain the same. This paper examines the complexity of commercial and entertainment appeal with sports. Specifically, it delves into three key aspects: the changing perspective on the issue of NCAA athletes' remuneration, contemporary discourse on the meaning of amateur and collegiate athletics, and the ethical consequences of using sex as a marketing strategy in the sports industry. Integrating these aspects, we aspire to bring to light the implications and challenges of the commercialization of sports, thereby offering solutions that resonate with both the industry and the ethical standards of the fans.

[...] Sex Sells: Exploitation or Empowerment? Treating sex as an adjunct to advertisement is one of the common strategies sports marketers use to attract public notice and reinforce consumer desire. The overuse of sexual imagery is evident in marketing with adverts alongside yoga mats with images of toned bodies or women wearing revealing outfits in sports games, all of which are designed to generate sales or make sports events more appealing (Ruihley & Hardin, 2016). On the one hand, marketing techniques like celebrity endorsement have a remarkable positive impact, yet there are various ethical questions and social implications around this marketing tactic. [...]
