Steve, also called for short, had an illustrious running career, which has inspired runners to this day to work hard and have the desire to win. Pre's running career began when he was in 10th grade. In the few years following, he became one of the best runners in the world. Pre set the bar high; giving his all in every race while giving his competitors a run for their money. [...]

The man then went to seek more help but by the time help had arrived, Pre had already passed away. Steve Prefontaine's legend lives on to this very day as many runners wish to follow in his footsteps and be the great runner that he once was. [...] Pre had many battles with him in his career but his most famous race was the 1972 Munich Games. Pre had been dreaming of going to the '72 Olympics ever since he started his career in running. He had worked incredibly hard to get there and his time had come in his quest for gold, but something happened that completely affected his life. A Palestinian terrorists group had held several Israeli athletes hostage for a few days and at the end of it all, two Israeli athletes were killed. [...]
