While only a few sports manage to accede above and beyond expectations, so many sports struggle to become great a sporting event. This report will go over ways in which sports that struggle with revenue can increase their visibility and marketability in the sports world. There are many untapped markets out there such as the internet that need to be exploited a little more and can take a sport to another level. Other areas covered are athlete visibility, game structure and unique ways to advertise. I believe all sports can become better if the right people can get involved to give the sport a new outlook.
[...] Before we can come up with solutions for solving the problems of so many sports, it is important to look at what sports like football and basketball have that the others don't. I think one of the biggest things sports fans here in America want is intensity. Fans want to see someone put their physical well-being on the line which is something soccer and track often lack. The same goes with sports teams, if the coaching staff is not performing up to the goals of an owner, they will surely lose their job after a few seasons. [...]

Athletes get involved with kids and get them excited about the athlete and the team they are playing for. The kids then go to the parents and say they want to see the athlete they saw in action which will then get the entire family out to the event. [...]
[...] Back in January, soccer made a bold move to try to increase the visibility of the sport. They brought in one of the most renowned soccer players of all time, David Beckham. In order, to get him, they threw $250 million over five years in order to increase to popularity of the sport here in the United States. The question is will it work? That is hard to foresee at this point in time but it goes back to the concept of taking a risk. [...]
