The main focus of this paper is to go further deep into these ethical dilemmas using the guiding principles as defined in the NASW Code of Ethics, applying the perspective provided by Rhodes (1992) regarding ethical boundaries in social work, and discussing Reamer's (2022) concept of ethical humility. The ethical implications of the case of Chris would arise in interactions, and we will attempt to find a suitable stand while being guided by our professional responsibilities in social work as well as the complex realities of professional practice in social work.
[...] Ethical Boundaries Influence Our Decision-Making Processes Rhodes (1992) published an influential article on ethical boundaries within social work, which states that social workers have to reflect professional and personal considerations in collective agency work. Rhodes asserts that the essential element in this categorization is that it leads social workers to clearly understand the ethical boundaries and the issues they are likely to get involved with and deal with them in the right way and with integrity. [...] Conclusion The case study turns into a point of use for practical application with the complexity of maintaining and holding ethics and professionalism in social work, coupled with the daily incrementing number of difficulties on issues regarding confidentiality, informed consent, and inter-agency cooperation. The code of ethics from NASW and the wisdom of other experts such as Rhodes and Reamer have helped me appreciate the ethical landscape a great deal more. It was also fundamental to this transformation in improving my ethical behaviour, making me able to base my decisions on consciousness but, not just on the profit made. This approach should ensure that they meet the client's interests and rights. References McAuliffe, D., Boddy, J., & Chenoweth, L. (2023). [...]

Through Rhodes's perspective, we are driven to probe into the world of ethics that regulate professional exchange and client information. Collaborating with Chris, a resourceful person who has helped Pat and the family get the best social services, the ethical dilemma, in this case, is how much information a professional may disclose, given that this information is sensitive and may affect the client's ability to get services. [...] It provides service delivery pragmatism while upholding the social work principles aligned with the client's interests. It becomes the supervisor's role and an agency's policy to act as a directional control post, raising the social agency worker for ethical and adequate decision-making in these complex situations. Personal Reflection Facing Chris's request for me to disclose secret information about Pat and our relative to some other agency, I am in a dilemma on ethical grounds where I want to maintain my client's privacy while also checking the merits of inter-agency collaboration.
