Mexican culture is rich and complex. Born from the fusion of pre-Hispanic and colonial traditions and beliefs, it continues to fascinate historians, anthropologists and archaeologists. This mixture of cultures has also shaped the country in its entirety, whether it be in terms of architecture, gastronomy, religion, or, of course, the language, Spanish, which has replaced the various pre-Columbian dialects such as Nahuatl or Mayan as the official language.
