The delivery of healthcare services is a very impactful and sensitive aspect of life. This is because rendering efficient healthcare services plays a significant role in improving people's way of living. However, several challenges are faced in the quest to attain quality healthcare. Nurse staffing is a critical challenge that continues to face many healthcare facilities. Nurses are fundamental in rendering healthcare services and closely relate with patients. Nevertheless, many hospitals continue to face the challenge of understaffing, with patients suffering the most significant blow. This research paper intends to address nurse staffing, its associated challenges, root causes, and possible solutions to remedy the problem.
