When caring for patients like Dan, nurses have several responsibilities. First, nurses have to ensure a patient's safety (Dadich et al.,2023). In this case, the nurse could ensure Dan's safety by preventing him from wandering around like Clara does. Additionally, the patient's safety can be improved by addressing his confusion. Second, the nurse has to collaborate with other nurses to ensure they get the correct diagnosis of Dan and provide accurate information regarding his condition and behavior. Lastly, the nurse has to establish a trustworthy relationship with the patient to ensure they feel free to share necessary information.

Lastly, she respectfully sets professional boundaries between her and the patient. Clara respectfully explains her role as a nurse to Dan, letting him know that she needs to assess his behavior and ensuring Dan understands that he is under medical care. References Brooks, L. [...]

Lastly, my decision will be guided by Standard 2 of NMBA for RNs. This standard requires nurses to engage in a therapeutic and professional relationship with patients. Following this standard will allow me to show empathy and compassion to Dan while respecting him as a human being with a unique experience. [...]
[...] Second, Clara exhibits cultural sensitivity in her communication with Dan. Despite being from the Philippines, Clara does not limit herself to her culture and acknowledges that Dan is from a different background from hers. She respects Dan's idea of a family, which he calls the and shows interest in his heritage. According to Brooks et al.
