Biology is an important subject among the science subjects. Over the years, there has been much ‘hue and cry' about the issue of ineffective teaching of biology in schools, which is being attributed to the poor academic performance of students in the subject at the Senior School Certificate Examination. Today, many students are finding Biology difficult due to poor teaching strategy of teachers, among other factors. It has been observed that many Biology teachers in schools are deficient in many aspects of the subject.
