This is an example of an oral presentation as part of an entrance exam for the 4th year of "Sciences Po Strasbourg" (Master's degree in Global International Relations and Master's degree in European Studies) and ITIRI Strasbourg (Institute of Translator-Interpreter).
[...] It was important for me to do something in that country as I have origins from there. I spent several weeks building a school, helping students with their homework and delivering food and clothes. I learned a lot about the other and also about myself, and got the strong conviction that fighting the inequalities in the world should be a priority. I think this is the main reason I want to become a diplomat. I think diplomacy can definitely help repairing the many cases of unfairness there are on this planet, so I would like to use my skills in negotiation in trying to find solutions with representatives from other countries, about how everyone could live better and happier. [...] These internships made me improve my skills in English and German, that I am able to speak fluently since then, and helped me to understand the differences in the organization of the companies from a country to another. I should also mention about my strong involvement with associations, such as with the project « com and vote » hold with friends from the ISCOM last year for the European elections, sensitizing the people and especially the youth in the importance of voting, as I am aware of the consequences abstention can have for the building of Europe.
