Traditional media, online speech, conceptual framework
Social media has the responsibility of allowing people to connect with each other and share information; this is a powered communication and an authentic dialogue that is motivated by the human desire to share available information. The maturity of the social media has created the ability of people to voice their opinions as both customers and consumers of the information raising expectations of all the stakeholders on how the information should be heard. here is an increase in the societal engagement in online speech and the voice of people still remains in the shadow of many institutions; the transition that has taken place to the internet and advanced analytical capabilities, social technologies have offered pioneering ways in which people can elicit their voice in a pertinent way to new thinking.
The conceptual framework of the study urges on the enlargement that countries face and the challenge of ensuring there is freedom of expression and the media, with the political interference, various economic concerns that include media concentration, harassment, and violence against journalists are some of the social issues in the society that affect the freedom of expression in the media industry. Case study will be the design used in carrying out the research; this involves having an extensive, descriptive and holistic analysis one single entity or a bounded case in order to study a single entity in depth for the purpose of gaining an insight into larger cases, and to describe and explain and not predict a specific phenomenon.
