Jesus - Biblical Principals - Christians
Religion has been part of mankind throughout evolution. It entails the belief of a supernatural being or spirit that has power over man and all his endeavors. In Christianity, people believe that Jesus, God's only son, came down from heaven and died at the cross for the sins of mankind. What make Jesus exceptional over mankind is the things that he did or performed during his life. For instance, he died, was buried, and after three days he rose up again. This paper summarizes some parts of Jesus life and biblical principles.
Mathew 5-7 describes Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. It describes a code which he wants Christians to live by. Jesus tells his followers to love one another, especially their enemies. Furthermore, he also forbids his followers from judging one another, claiming that only God, his father, has the power to do so. In a real life situation, the sermon reflects morality and respect for one another. It also shows that everyone is equal. However, what caught my attention is the need for authority in mankind. Since only God can judge, Christians have to live their lives with certain boundaries in order to avoid the ultimate punishment of going to hell. This reflects real life situations where certain laws and regulations govern our way of life. In addition, this also shows that the government borrows some principles from religion.
