Everyone will die at some point. However, this date may be postponed by certain actions. Healthy eating choices are a primary action that will ensure a longer life. This is a practice that is established in the households of America. Therefore, to prevent unhealthy eating habits and obesity, children must be made aware of healthy eating habits. They must also be educated about the adverse effects related to obesity. The government should be more involved in the attempt to prevent childhood obesity for multiple reasons.
The government is able help stop childhood obesity in several ways. The first manner in which the government is able to provide assistance is through nutrition guidelines. These guidelines may be placed in schools to help students eat healthier. The students will be required to eat healthy for the majority of the week through these guidelines. Children attend school at least 5 days a week. As a result students will receive a healthy meal for at least 5 days. The nutrition guidelines were suggested by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ("School Lunches.") This was done in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture.
[...] Department of Health and Human Services may definitely be an asset in this aspect. They have the nutritional facts that can guide actions and legislation regarding the matter.
