Ethical and legal issues, privacy
Data publications should take into considerations the rights and responsibilities about ethical and legal issues. Fields that handle critical information as medics and the media have a duty to limit the data that is accessible to the public. Data shared should be reasonable and should not have any negative impacts on the source or to recipients. Legal and ethical issues guide the manner in which information is shared and the information that should be shared.
Ethical issues on privacy and confidentiality control the extent to which physical, intellectual or behavioral information is shared. According to the provisions in the penal code, attack to people's sanctity, both on the individual and family level through sharing inappropriate information contrary to without their consent amount to punishment or fine (Nick 2013, par.12). Fields that handle personal information as those of information, medics and the security should maintain a high level of confidentiality in the way they handle and share their information.
