Core values of Americans such as honesty, freedom, pride, peace, hope, and liberty were written in streamers across the country. Men and women from all sorts of backgrounds were doing their part to help win the war and make the world a better place.

Norman Rockwell's paintings entitled the “Four Freedoms” are a key ingredient to the issue of Americans wondering we fight”[10]. Although he did not invent these ideals on his own, they were drawn from President Roosevelt's State of the Union address; they still created a huge impact on the United States.
