It can also be a modern-day hero, a person who has performed a heroic act or simply our own personal hero, our role model, whom we look up to.

As shows the photograph of Mike that was taken during the terrorist attack, on this photograph Mike Kehoe is running up the stairs, he looks sweaty and tired whereas in the background the office workers who are dressed in suits are going down in order to escape from the fire. The family is representing sitting in their living room to emphasize the fact that this is kind of their routine now. Mike seems tired about having to archive all of the letters, he doesn't want to be seen as someone special because for him he was just doing his job. To conclude, this notion of everyday heroes first appeared with the presence of firemen, psychologists, policemen . that helped during the attack but nearly eighteen years after this event, some persons continue being little heroes themselves by helping the memory of the dead ones not to be forgotten.
