Awareness surrounding mental health has increased significantly in recent years, specifically amongst the younger generation who are still at school (Free courses in England, n.d.). The World health organisation has estimated that 1 in 5 young people experience a mental health condition (Free courses in England, n.d.). The pressure in schools has escalated dramatically, spanning from academic expectations to the social challenges of forming friendships (NPSVRP.com, 2023). Academic pressure amongst students has increased drastically from person to person and has also now started at a younger age. These pressures can lead students to experience mental health disorders.

This process involved identifying ways in which the lack of resources provided by schools, the negative stigma that mental health carries, the absence of awareness on mental health, and the lack of funds in schools to provide students with access to mental health could be integrated into one singular solution.
