This document summarizes the internship which I had undertaken at a company. This company is a trading company which supplied office furniture. The company has 26 employees divided into several areas: the administrative center, the commercial center and technical center. During the internship, I was placed at various organizational levels of the company in order to discern its general organization.
[...] The job of the manger at work is to evaluate the results of work by focusing on the unique contribution of each operator and enhance its expertise and experience. Recognition at work is expressed in human relationships and is practiced on a regular basis. It is preferably personalized and specific and should be a reflection of the person to whom it is addressed. It can take various forms: written, oral, object specific or symbolic. There are four forms of recognition at work: Existential recognition: it focuses on the employee as an individual and gives him a respectable position. [...]
[...] The rewards may include monetary rewards and enhancing the self-esteem Problematic issues The purpose of my study was to evaluate the effects of recognition at work on the psychological state of personnel. I had to analyze the difference between tasks and the constraints imposed by the employer and the recognition that it brings. I wanted to know the feelings of gratitude expressed by the employers on the job. The next question that arose was whether the recognition at work influenced the level of psychological distress of workers. [...]
