Marks & Spencer is a British retailer. Its head office is located in City of Westminster, London, England. It is the largest clothing retailer in UK. It was founded by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer. Mark & Spencer is 43rd largest retailer in the world. Marks & Spencer have been for more than a century one of the best-known British retailers. Indeed since 1884, M&S have developed a traditional brand image of quality. However since the end of the familial reign M&S's results have declined little by little because of, among other things, successions and management difficulties. Due to bad management decisions global strategies of M&S do not work as well as in the past. To understand the reasons of M&S's fall we are going to analyze its environment, resources and capabilities.
Company in this project is Mark & Spencer which is one of the biggest British clothing retailers. By the help of this project we will be able to know the financial status of the company and what all advantages it has over its competitors. We also look at PEST-G (political, economic, social, technological, and green) and SWOT (STRENGHT, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITY, THREATS) analysis of the company. We are able to know how the company has performed and what their future plans are. And we end this project by the conclusion which shows what the company is planning to do to survive in near future.
