Pfizer is an American pharmaceutical corporation. In 2006, it was the leader in its sector at a worldwide level with a turnover of 48,371 billion dollars and 106 000 employees in the entire world. Pfizer is also the first investor in private biomedical research undertaken in order to invent, develop and commercialize new medicines. Pfizer produces medicines for humans as well as for animals. Fourteen of the human's medicines it produces are ranked number 1 in the world in their therapeutic sectors. Pfizer's mission is to become the world's most valued company to patients, customers, colleagues, investors, business partners, and the communities where we work and live. To finish, Pfizer has dedicated itself to humanity's quest for longer, healthier, happier lives through innovation in pharmaceutical, consumer, and animal health products. In September 2005, Fortune ranked Pfizer as one of the most socially responsible companies which means that it is a firm that "makes environmental, social and ethnical considerations part of doing business".
