Implementation of an ERP application will completely change the working environment of an organization. Employees need to get trained to use the ERP application to get the work done impeccably. The change management is the biggest issue for an organization that implements ERP application. Top management of the company should take cautious steps to handle the change management situation when an ERP application is implemented. Normally, employees will be habituated to the old system on which they have been working for years long.
When a new application like ERP, which demands people to change their working style, is implemented, employees feel uncomfortable to respond the change. This is where the change management techniques come into picture. Employees feel uncomfortable because they do not know basic of using the application. If we can make employees to understand how ERP works, half of the problem will be solved. This is the reason why, senior consultants of ERP applications emphasize the importance of the training. By regular training sessions, which help employees to understand the nitty-gritty of ERP application operationally, they will be much happier to work on the same. ERP application reduces the human work but timely responses from each and every employee in the organization.
