While employees should accept diversity regardless of race percentages, and continue to be productive; managers must also embrace diversity in order to lead effectively. Why? For one, understanding diversity helps prevent division among co-workers. Two, it helps avoid liabilities stemming from racial favoritism. Three, embracing diversity can generate high productivity and revenue for the company.

Council (2001) shares his diversity views stating that "America's decision to emphasize diversity is therefore a practical choice, based on rapidly evolving U.S. demographics. Now, in selecting my secondary resources used, I looked for the most current information posted here in the U.S. and abroad, since diversity in business spans worldwide. I looked for detailed opinions backed by facts that proved the importance of diversity in the workplace, and how companies worldwide benefit from having diverse employees. [...]
