The concept of human resource management over the years has stressed, the importance of employee a sound employee relationship in the organization .Imagine a situation where an employees works for long hours without proper compensation, is constantly abused and harassed by the boss and lacks a voice to address his or her rights,in this case such employee would under perform and mostly would jump at any job offer outside the organization.
Hence, it has become an important task of managers to maintain and improve the sound relationship between these two entities. This born with a view to gain exceptional results for the firm ( Butler, and Waldroop 1999). Thus, objective of this report is to extensively and precisely discuss some of these benefits and the importance of having a positive employee relation within an organization.
To address the intended purpose a survey of 10 organizations and 20 employees was subsequently identified and questionnaires administered to the respective target group. Again, the study involved open interview.The report project aims to examine whether it is important to have a sound employee relationship within an organization In so doing the following research questions will be answered.
[...] Again the organizations is able to increase employee sense of belonging. thus is important since once an employees identifies with an organization is able to protect its interest Conclusion In conclusion, it is implicit that maintaining a appropriate ,positive and sound employer-employee rapport will enable organizations to gain a myriad of benefits and such a sound relationship consequently enables the organization to thrive in several ways, such as retention of key employees, increased competitive advantage and productivity and image .Hence, there is acquisitiveness to accentuate more on improving and enhancing positive employee-employer relationship for the ultimate benefit of the organization and in order to realize organizational goals and targets. [...] The importance of maintaining a sound employee relation can only be defined by the benefit such a concept has on the organization. In fact according to scholars have a lot to benefit from such a relationship. for instance by motivating employees ,an organization enables them to improve their efficiency in work a factor that acts as impetus to increased organizational productivity, again the organization is able to retain key employees and thus increase its competitive advantage. by promoting a sound communication system with the employees an organization is able to improve efficiency in decision making and prevent intra-organizational conflicts which could prove disastrous to the firms image and overall productivity. Indeed an employee treatment to the employer is good and based on mutual understanding the employee will no doubt regard the employer in high esteem and hence will p rove productive.” (Butler and Waldroop1999,P .4 ) 2.2 Roles of both parties In this context both the employer and employee should adhere to certain precepts, if a mutual relationship based on cooperation and trust is to be realized. on the part of the employer he or she should , respect terms of employment by paying the employee the expected compensation, again the employer has the duty to protect and promote the health and safety of employees by adhering to safety and healthy regulation, also they should promote employee rights.
