The two companies have been present in the fast food market for a long time and they produce different types of food. The turnover of Burger King amounts to US$2.234 billion and that of McDonald's amounts to US$ 22.79 billion, which reveals that both the companies are very important and powerful in the fast food market. The core part of their business comprises serving fast food to customers.. To do that, each company has developed a chain of restaurants, all over the United States to begin with, followed by expansion all around the world. They are very well developed globally. Burger King has 11,000 employees, while McDonald's has 400,000 employees all around the world. The kind of products provided is very similar for the two companies, but we will try to differentiate between the products that are provided by each one.
The offer of these companies varies according to the country they are in. Indeed, they don't offer the same products all around the world and try to adapt the products to the different expectations of the customers. For example, in India, McDonald's offers only fish and chicken products, because the cow is a sacred animal in India, and they cannot sell beef products to the Indian customers. Burger King provides tacos, burritos and other Latin American foods to the South American markets
We will try to determine what the general offer of the companies is, and more precisely, the main product-groups they provide around the world, even though there is some modification depending on the country they are in.
