The following writing has been carried out in order to identify the typical threats, issues and challenges that may arise in undertaking and completing the construction of an Indian hospitality project. The hospitality industry all over the world is very vast and requires more attention to fulfill the customer or consumer needs. As the requirements are rising the need for being more proactive is also there and the study also describes related topics. Here for reference a project will be taken as an example. The project that is considered as an example here is a restaurant which serves multi cuisine food to an up market clientele. The first and foremost challenge for the construction project is the finance or the budget. The appropriate budget, that can cover up all the expense for basic requirements in undertaking and finishing a construction project that are related to the hospitality industry, needs to be calculated.
[...] The tenders must be given to the contractor with relevant experience in fields of building restaurants, also have good will in the market in order to avoid frauds if there are any. The contractor must be given a proper idea of the project requirements in order to avoid variance in the final project delivered and project ordered. Another threat is that the raw material used in the construction may differ quality wise, or in other ways, than specified at the time of placing the order. [...]
[...] The project would consume quite a long time and the trends would definitely undergo some changes in them by the time the restaurant is operational. So the design of restaurant should be few years in the future. The restaurant should also be spacious in order to conduct the operations smoothly. The problem of planning permission may also come up while undertaking the project of restaurants, as the local authorities may not allow certain features in the restaurant it may be also seen as a major drawback for the restaurant. [...] Such services include gas supply, electricity supply, water supply, drainage facility for fouls and surface water, telecommunication facilities, cable television facilities and lots more. If these facilities are not available then a requisition should be made to the authorities for making these facilities available. The factors listed above have a clear impact on servicing the costs of servicing the project. (Ransley & Ingram, 2000) The laws of the particular land may be considered in to the major challenges during undertaking the development of any project. [...]
