The Geophysics National Company is a 100% subsidiary of the oil company Sonatrach, with a capital of seven billion Algerian dinars, whose headquarters is located in Hassi Messaoud. In 2008, its turnover amounted to 17 billion DA.
With a human resource base of over 5154 employees (annual average), including 900 engineers and skilled technicians, the company is equipped with the latest technology and it engages in the following tasks:
Search for oil by seismic reflection, from which it derives 91% of its turnover.
Geotechnical studies, topography and boreholes.
Studies of the subsurface by potential geophysical methods (gravity, magnetics and resistivity).
