Pantaloon has ushered a retail revolution in India and its founder Kishore Biyani is known as India's "King of Retail". Headquartered in Mumbai (Bombay), has over 100 stores across 30 cities in India and employs over 14,000 people. The company owns and manages multiple retail formats catering to a wide cross-section of the Indian society and its width and depth of merchandise helps it capture almost the entire consumption basket of the Indian consumer. The company currently operates over 5 million square feet of retail space and has plans to increase it to 30 million sq. ft by 2011. Pantaloon has plans to open over 3000 new stores by 2010.
