The company is facing the challenge of the energy transition. The Paris agreement signed in 2016 is a real challenge for the company, which must now diversify its activities and can no longer rely solely on fossil fuels. In 2016, the sum of the resources used was greater than the resources produced by the Earth, which is a problem for the long-term viability of the company. For its main stakeholders, it is a huge problem. It is difficult for them to consider the future, because of the disappearance of fossil fuels which is a real danger. The emergence of new organisational structures, more and more decentralised, is also an important social issue. Indeed, more and more households have energy-producing appliances such as solar panels. The challenge is therefore to decentralise production processes in order to organise a new energy plan in line with contemporary requirements.
