The concept of leadership is a continual shifting and embryonic process in this globalized society. There are many books that illustrate the characteristics and attributes of leadership and among those attributes communication takes a front seat. Effective communication is an element that is a very significant feature of leadership and is very important to have when obtaining a leadership role therefore, will command one to know the basis behind what successful communication means. Some would argue that a superior leader with effective communication strategies has a calculable set of abilities learned whereas others believe he or she is just born with it. Nevertheless, despite how one becomes a leader there is certain criteria that great leaders possess.
Individuals with leadership roles have compelling strength to overcome adversities and obstacles to achieve goals that are presented. More important, these leaders possess strong communication skills and have a distinct charismatic personality that stands out above others. They disseminate the value of communication, culture, productivity, quality, and time to lead and inspire individuals in achieving a common goal. This paper is an attempt to investigate what dynamic role Sam Walton played in his leadership responsibility and in the art of communicating and will unveil an unpretentious blueprint how he achieved success in leadership communication.
