Our business idea focuses on bringing chefs to the dinner table at home. We plan to offer 2 services; Primarily we will provide Home training courses where fully trained chefs will come into your home environment and offer training on anything from beginner techniques, simple cooking to more extravagant dishes. We will also offer the service of Home Catering ranging from romantic meals for 2 to numerous guests. The name of our enterprise will be “Chef à la maison”. We wanted to have a French name because French gastronomy is famous all around the world, and in the UK. Our enterprise will be situated in Glasgow (Scotland), and our activity will take place from Glasgow to Edinburgh and more if our business increases.
a) Mission Statement:
The study of mission statements started in the early 1970s, and Drucker (1971) referred to them as a precursor to “clear and realistic business objectives”. As for every enterprise, “Chef à la Maison” takes into account several important factors including our customers, our strategic
position and our values to develop our mission and generate our objectives. Our mission is: “to provide ambitious quality foods and meals available to all” and our values are: “quality, value, service, innovation and trust”.
b) Company goals and objectives:
The goals and objectives of our company are: to have a healthy and successful company, to reach a lot of customers and to have a loyal customer following, to satisfy customers in providing healthy food, to grow inside this almost untapped market and to become a leader.
