Communication separates human from animals. The ability to have distinct languages and understandings of them sets the human race apart. Humans have volumes of literature, books, plays, and poems that have survived throughout the centuries. Thus, efficient means of communication become indispensable. The Greek tragedy Antigone, written by Sophocles, is full of wisdom and knowledge.

[...] In order for one to communicate effectively, the reader must be able to understand what is written. Arnott makes this exceedingly difficult. He does not specify important intervals like the Scenes, the Choral Odes, and the Parados. If one is unaccustomed to the reading of ancient Greek literature, this can make it almost impossible to follow. The Arnott version loses the intimacy the chorus has with the crowd, and takes away the reader's mental image. The Fitts version is clearer to the average reader, making the communication between author and reader much more honest. [...]
