A community can be generalized as a place where people with similar interests and lifestyles dwell together in healthy unison. Since the Romantics, a theme that reappears in literature often is alienation. Despite this, the concept of "community" is still present in such works as Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange," and Alan Sillitoe's "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner." However, in these examples, as well as other examples that embody a sense of "community", the stereotypical concept of the word is redefined by each write in their own interpretations.
