Professionalism, journalism, communication technologies
The emergence of new communication technologies offers the recontextualization of a large set of spheres of collective experience, their knowledge and practices. Journalism is one of these spheres, constituted as a specialized competence within the field of social narratives, which, from the early stage of modernity gained importance in the developed set of operations to consolidate and take what generally is called Western culture. Produced within a highly institutionalized system, marked by the standard and technology, journalism will slowly migrating to a room dominated by the machine, in a world that offers comprehensive and transparent. This transmutation occurs slowly and often without their operators are unable to realize the subtlety of this displacement.
Journalism professional develops a series of activities based on a set of procedures capable of transmitting versions of facts or events. Its basic function is to report with maximum precision and cohesion possible what happened. The techniques used will be specific to each audience and communication vehicle.
Currently, professional journalists for activity options has proven quite vast. In addition to the traditional media - newspaper, radio and TV - there is a market which, although still maturing phase, proves to be very promising: the Internet, that is, the electronic journalism.
