In this coursework, a dilemma faced by Paramount Pictures (Paramount) about the release date of the film Transformer 3: Dark of the Moon (Transformer 3) will be analyzed, and then some advices will be given by using game theory. Paramount is one of the largest American film production studios, and its Transformers series had been successful. It originally planned to release its "Transformer 3" on July 1, 2011. However, it faces a challenge that its competitor Warner Bros. (WB) would release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Deathly Hallows Part 2) just two weeks later, and also there exists a possibility that WB would rearranged the release time to the same day as "Transformer 3".

In this situation, firstly, it is important to avoid direct compete with "Deathly Hallows Part 2", which would largely hurt film's earnings. Then it need consider relative high quantity of audiences to ensure its profit. The coursework will find a best strategy to figure out this contradiction by using game theory.
