This short film was directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1957 as the 28th episode in the third season of his television series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". The director first introduces the story from a grocery store, where he is funnily fined for causing traffic trouble, as if he was driving too slowly on the road.

[...] She leaves the room to get a piece of lamb leg from the freezer and hits her unfaithful husband on the skull, which kills him instantly. She then puts the weapon to cook in the even before sitting and devising a scheme. Mary goes to the grocery store to buy some vegetables. When she comes home, she drops her purchases on the floor as if she had been surprised, and then she scatters papers and puts pieces of furniture upside down to pretend there was a fight. [...]
[...] Besides, the wound was not caused by a sharp weapon, which must remain in the area. Since it is getting late, the inspector remembers about the lamb roast and is surprised to see it isn't overburnt but is just perfect to be eaten. Mary explains she is too worried to have an appetite, but she doesn't want to throw it away either, so she offers it for dinner to the policemen, who gladly accept and feed on it. As a consequence, the weapon disappears little by little . [...]
